Getting your rifle to us
Please contact us before sending anything so we can confirm availability and arrange a suitable delivery date.
1. Packing Your Rifle
Your rifle must be packed securely and should not be able to move around inside the box.
Use suitable padding such as:
- Bubble wrap
- Towels
- Foam
- Old clothing
2. What to Include
- Your name and address
- Telephone number
- A clear note explaining what work is required
- Magazine or single-shot tray/loader
- A FULL tin of pellets, if tuning is required
- Moderator/silencer, if tuning is required
- Fully charged battery, for electronic rifles
3. What Not to Send
Unless we have specifically asked for them, please try to remove:
- Stock
- Scope
- Bipod
- Unnecessary accessories
If you cannot remove certain parts, please make sure they are very well protected.
4. Exterior Packaging
Parcelforce requires firearm parcels to be discreetly packaged.
Cover the outside correctly using cardboard, strong bin bags, rubble sacks, or similar. Use plenty of tape so the parcel cannot open in transit.

5. Sending Your Rifle to Us
Please do not send your rifle until a delivery date has been arranged with us.
You can usually send your rifle to us using one of the following services:
- Parcelforce 48 — usually around £15. No extended compensation is included with this service. See Parcelforce T&Cs.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — usually around £18–£32, with compensation from £750 up to £2,500, depending on the service selected.
- FAC rifles must be sent to us via RFD.
6. Return Delivery Options
Once the work is complete, we will contact you with the final cost and available return delivery options.

Option 1 — Parcelforce 48
Approx. £15. This is arranged by us. No extended compensation is included with this service. See Parcelforce T&Cs.
Option 2 — Royal Mail
Available only if the parcel is no larger than 61cm x 46cm x 46cm.
Royal Mail Special Delivery is usually around £18–£32, with compensation from £750 up to £2,500.
Option 3 — Parcelforce expressAMF Secure Return Carriage
For sub-12 ft-lb rifles, Parcelforce expressAMF can be arranged back to your home address.
FAC-rated rifles must be sent to your nearest RFD.

Before Sending
Please contact us before sending anything.
Important Safety Notice
Before boxing and sending your rifle to us, you must check the following:
- The rifle is not loaded.
- No magazine is fitted to the rifle.
- If the rifle has a stuck pellet or barrel obstruction, you must notify us before sending it. The rifle must be decocked and, where possible, degassed / depressurised.
The rifle will be made safe where possible and returned to the owner at the owner’s expense.
