The new, redesigned Optical System retains the basic dimensions of the first generation model however the construction with German glass has allowed for an increase in the field of view as well as increasing the overall sharpness.
On top of the improvements to the Optical System, the new Gen2 model has improvements to the mechanical components allowing for ultra-precise tracking, capped windage to make the scope more suited for those hunting, as well as increasing the diameter of the parallax knob to allow for finer adjustments. In addition the mechanical improvements listed above the turrets have been designed to be better for the end user. Starting with the click feel, a larger diameter and a lower profile the new turrets allow for the elevation to remain exposed with a zero-stop whilst the turret has a protection ring and is capped.
